Well, yesterday (Wednesday), I gave an idea of what I thought the day would look like. Some of it I got right, but there were other things that were predicted. That is why I am calling this post, "Wednesday 2.0."
I did some office work until about 10:00 AM, then we headed to town as a family. I ran errands with Silas while Jana and Grace (along with Moriah) had an appointment to have a hair trim. After running here and there, we got back home about 2:00 PM.
I went up to the office to prepare for today's Bible Interpretation meetings in Nyakaliro. Around 4:00 PM, I went the the close of a funeral. The retired village chairman's wife in Shadi had died, and they were going to the grave for the burial. I left the office and walked with the 350 people who were in attendance to their family burial plots where they had a graveside service. Then, I went back to the family's house and met up with a number of people from church. I got back home around 6:30 PM.
The fundi pikipiki (motorcycle mechanic) was back over because I still questioned that we had found the solution to the bike's problems on Sunday. He gave me a further diagnosis, and we planned to do the work in Friday.
It is 5:30 AM right now, and I am getting ready to head out the door to Nyakaliro with the Land Cruiser (the bike will stay home until we try to figure out its problems tomorrow). Lenard (one of the Bible Institute students from Shadi) has said that he would like to go with me, so I am hoping that this will provide some good time for spiritual discussion.
