Sunday, I left at 7:30 AM to attempt a trip out to Sengerema, but I had trouble with the motorcycle on the way out. I didn't get very far up the road before I was having trouble with the bike wanting to stall out like it had run out of gas. I called my local pikipiki fundi (motorcycle mechanic, but picture a guy with five tools working under a mango tree). I had to cancel the trip and head back with him to his spot while he did some work on the carburetor. We got it running in time for me to make it to church in Sweya. After attending the service there, I spent the afternoon at Abeli's place talking theology and spiritual life.
Monday, we took a rest day. I did some administrative stuff, but it was nice to have some needed down time with the family.
Tuesday, I woke up at 2:30 AM and couldn't get back to sleep. I spent the early hours catching up on correspondence and doing some needed reading. During the day, I visited Ferdinand (had a long discussion about the nature of God) and talked at length with Livingstone, had a meeting with Beth and Jana, and worked on translating a pamphlet about the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Today, I will make a brief trip to town and try to get back early to prep for tomorrow's teaching and Sunday's sermon, along with squeezing in another discipleship visit.
