I (Jana) recently had the opportunity to be a part of a Ladies Seminar that was held at the Bible Institute on February 8-10. The seminar included teaching about how to study and interpret the Bible, practice in trying to draw application from some Bible passages as a group, teaching on what the Bible has to say regarding child-rearing, and some words of encouragement and exhortation from some of the pastor's wives. This was this a great opportunity for me to be a student together with these women, get to know them better, and take in several hours of teaching in Swahili (which was great practice). I also had my first opportunity to try teaching in Swahili. Some of you know that I have been preparing for this since October (four months of scattered preparation for a 1-hour session!). On the 9th I taught about Scripture memory, and overall was very pleased with how it went. Thank you to those of you who prayed for this!
