Today, I left around 6:45 AM to begin my first trip to Nyakaliro by motorcycle. I was very pleased with the way things went, and I only had one hang-up. I hadn't looked in the tank before I left to see how much petrol I had in the tank, and I ran out half way between Sengerema and Nyakaliro. I pushed the motorcycle about 1.5 km, and I found a little shop in the village of Nyamazugo that had a five-gallon jug of petrol for just that reason. I added three litres which got me to Nyakaliro and back to Sengerema, where I topped my tank off.
While in Nyakaliro, I met with the Bible Institute students to iron out details for the upcoming Bible Institute sessions. I was glad for their help and input. I also got to see Pastor Elias. He has been sick for the past week, but now he says that he is doing much better.
I got back around 6:30, just in time for dinner with Jana and the kids.
